Tim Gillean

Chief Financial Officer, Cross Equities, LLC; Chief Executive Officer of Granite Redevelopment Properties and Granite Crypto Investors

Tim Gillean is a Co-Founder and Partner of Cross Equities, LLC, where he serves as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer and primary liaison for equity investors, lenders, and mortgage and investment brokers. With over two decades of experience in real estate investment and development, Tim brings extensive expertise in asset underwriting, acquisitions, and capital structuring.

Prior to co-founding Cross Equities, Tim served as a Partner at Cross Development beginning in 2004, where he led the firm’s efforts in property acquisitions, financing, and asset dispositions. His career has spanned a diverse range of real estate sectors, including multifamily, retail, condominium, and resort developments across the United States and Mexico.

Tim also founded Granite Redevelopment Properties in 1992.  Granite is a leading Multi Family Acquisition & Rehabilitation company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Granite currently owns and manages approximately 6,000 units in numerous locations throughout Texas. Granite has become well known throughout the industry for its success in turning around under-performing properties through a strictly focused programmatic process that increases both property occupancies and property rental rates. Each business unit possesses a unique work ethic and corporate discipline that has come from more than a decade of working together.  Granite utilizes an in-house development & rehabilitation team, property management department, leasing department, research & marketing department and legal department for each property. Under Tim’s leadership, Granite has earned a strong reputation for successfully revitalizing underperforming assets through disciplined, hands-on management and in-house development, property management, leasing, and marketing teams.

In addition to his real estate ventures, Tim is the Founder and CEO of Granite Crypto Investors, LLC, overseeing the acquisition, software performance, and deployment of more than 800 cryptocurrency mining machines. His foresight in establishing the company in 2021 positioned Granite Crypto to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the digital asset space.

Tim is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in Real Estate Finance. He also serves as a dedicated philanthropist through the Joy to the World Foundation, having helped fund the construction of churches and orphanages in Thailand and Laos.
